I don't remember the last time I was so impressed with the layout and design of a coffee shop. But as soon as I walked in and took in the surroundings, I couldn't help but to tell the man behind the counter how beautiful this space was. The service was excellent and so was the coffee and conversation. I can't wait to come back. This is now my go-to spot when I visit Philly.

After moving to the area I’ve been able to check out various cafes, but this one is at the top of my list! Exceptional coffee, environment, and hospitality. Incredible book selection paired with unique coffee / matcha options.

As a designer, aesthetics are very important to me, American Grammar has such a gorgeous, museum-like, yet textured look, and somehow manages to feel warm and cosy at the same time. I always try to meet clients there and bring my friends visiting Philly and they love it too. The owner is very cool, and gets all of the details right! The handmade mugs are beautiful and makes every coffee feels special. Well done, American Grammar!

American Grammar is my favorite cafe in Philly! Every drink I get is perfect and somehow always has the perfect espresso pull. The energy and beauty of the space (as well as amazing collection of books) make it such a pleasant place to go! Special shout out to Terrence who always makes you feel warm with his amazing energy and kindness. Grateful to have a place like American Grammar in the neighborhood.

This place is perfect for book and coffee lovers. I love how they have a selection of art from local artists. They space for people to work. Strawberry Oats Espresso was full of interesting flavors which had right price.

I just want them to make my coffee and design my apartment the cappuccino is the smoothest that I've had in Philly and the decorum is exquisite. The price is very affordable for a cappuccino and it's CONSISTENTLY well made, which is rare for a coffee shop. Not to mention they're open on Christmas when everyone else is closed and I appreciate that. My 5 year old and I go and sit here for hours and write and read and laugh. It's an amazing atmosphere.

Went here on a tour and the look of the place was like a upscale apartment, it has books, coffee, more modern decor, purses and great art on the walls. Nice place to have a coffee, relax, study etc. Definitely a good place to drop by #coffee #bookstore #books #cafe #shopping
